Pour over set up at Strangelandia
Pour over set up at Strangelandia

I was asked about pour over set up so here's what I use every day:

1. Electric goose neck kettle with programmable temp and hold function. (I'll use a backpacking stove and stove top kettle when car camping).

2. Manual grinder.

3. Gram scale in 0.1 increments. Having a timer is optional but very useful.

4. Either a V60 (02 size in the pic) or flat bottomed brewer. The flat bottom brewer is lighter, travel friendly, and doesn't get broken as often.

5. Normally I make a small cup at a time straight into a mug as I have an abundance of different coffees to drink (I love my job). I'm quite fond of the insulated V60 carafe for larger brews. It really keeps the coffee hot.
